Inspire Release 2026.1.5.0

Enhancements to component management

Work with restrictions to rebuild relationships

On the Relationships screen, the Rebuild All and AutoRepair actions are now restricted to administrators or users with the can_rebuild_relationships permission. Also, the confirmation message was updated to clearly indicate that components will be returned to the Draft state.

For more details, read: Manage relationships.

See improvements to the approval process

On the Selected Components panel, the Approve and Unapprove actions now run in the background. Other improvements to the approval process are prompting users to include referenced content, skipping components tagged with ApprovalNotRequired, and sending a completion notification that reports which components succeeded or failed.

For more details, read: Approve or unapprove a component.

Receive a more complete approval report for maps

Approval reports generated from maps now include attachment components and display their approval status, signer, and approval dates. This ensures that the approval documentation reflects both the source and the attached binary content.

For more details, read: Work with Approval reports.

Correctly generate glossary IDs

In Oxygen, when elements are configured with the NeedsId property, the Glossentry and Glossgroup elements now correctly receive generated IDs.

For more details, read: Manage elements.

See additional information in branch reports

Branch reports now provide more information, including the source component, the name of the user who performed the branching (branched by), and the branched date. This provides clearer insight into branching activity and content lineage within a single report.

For more details, read: Work with branch reports.

Inspire is now integrated with Oxygen 28.0

The new version includes improvements in the following areas: deeper integration with Oxygen AI Positron 8.0, streamlined editing and review tasks, and strengthened security for large organizations.

For more details, read: Oxygen Integration.

Select the project folder when adding components to a project

In the Components Browser, when using the Add To Project option on the Select Components panel, the user can select a project folder.

For more details, read: Add components to a project from the Components browser.

Enhancements to projects

Streamline component selection with advanced search

Advanced search has been added to the Select Project Components dialog. Users can now filter components across all project folders, making it easier to locate content by metadata such as language or tags without needing to remember folder locations.

For more details, read: Select project components.

Add components without replacing existing ones

When updating an assignment, adding components now adds to the existing selection rather than replacing previously selected components.

For more details, read: Update an assignment.

See consistent behavior when unlocking a component

Unlocking a component from the Projects view now displays the correct confirmation screen when unsubmitted changes exist, matching the behavior in the Components Browser.

For more details, read: Unlock project components.

Close the Unlock Component screen without issues

In a project, closing the Unlock Component screen with the X (close button) now properly dismisses the dialog without leaving the loader spinning or unlocking the component.

For more details, read: Unlock project components.

See improvements to the workflow assignment list

The Assign To field in workflows is now alphabetically sorted and supports typing to narrow the list. Duplicate and inactive users have been removed to improve usability.

For more details, read: Parts of an assignment.

Automate the unapproval process in a workflow

Workflows can now automatically unapprove components when a workflow activity is advanced. Users are prompted to include referenced content, and a notification is sent when processing completes. The notification now includes details of any errors, such as locked or permission-restricted components.

For more details, read: Automate unapprovals in a workflow template.

Enhancements to review management

Allow read access to reviews and use new filtering capabilities

Users now need Read permissions to access the Reviews module and view all reviews. New filter options let users view reviews where they are a coordinator or participant. Update permissions are still required to open review details or make changes, but read-only users can now also run review reports.

For more details, read: Manage reviews.

Enhancements to publishing

See publishing permissions enforced for snapshots

Users without the can_publish permission can no longer publish components from the History tab in Component Details. Publish permissions are now correctly enforced.

For more details, read: Publish from a snapshot.

Publish multiple profiles with DITAVAL filtering

Multiple publishing profiles can now be successfully published using a DITAVAL filter. Notifications of publishing success are shown as expected.

For more details, read: Publish multiple components.

Enhancements to translation management

See completion percentages by language in a translation report

The Translation Report now displays completion percentages by language. Any status other than In Progress is considered completed, providing a clearer view of translation progress across languages.

For more details, read: Generate a report on a translation job.

Read an updated notification to explain empty translation jobs

Translation failure notifications now clearly indicate when a job was not created because it was empty, including possible causes such as unchanged content, filtering, or components locked for approval.

For more details, read: Sending components to translation FAQs.

Enhancements to administration

Track features in the event log

Feature changes are logged in the Event Log.

For more details, read: Troubleshoot using event logs.
