Enable the AI feature and options

To use the optional feature that allows you to build an AI-powered search and assistant, an administrator must enable the feature. You must also enable the types of AI indices that you want to use.

To access this premium feature, you must purchase it separately. Contact your Vasont customer representative to invest in efficiency and discover how AI can elevate your search experience today!

If you want to turn on the automatic processes in Inspire that add data to the AI indices, and add items to the menu options for managing the AI feature, you must purchase the premium AI feature.

To allow users to add data to a search index and enable the AI-powered search, an administrator must also enable the ability to create an index.

You can enable one or both of the following indexing options:

  • AiApprove. Allows you to create an Approve index. This is used by Inspire to automatically add component content when a user approves or signs a component in the Components browser. The index can also be used by Inspire users to manually add data. Follow the steps in: Enable creating an AI index for approvals.

The Approve index builds up the content that can be available in a chat bot you provide to your customers.

  • AiSubmit. Allows you to create a Submit index. This is used by Inspire to automatically add component content to the Submit index when authors Submit and Save a component in the Oxygen editor. The index can also be used by Inspire users to manually add data. Follow the steps in: Enable creating an AI index for submittals.

The Submit index builds up the content that is used by authors in the Oxygen editor when they ask the AI Assistant a question.

Next, an administrator must create the actual index. The index stores numerical representations of the data to empower the search to go beyond simple keyword matching and to understand the context and intent behind a search query.

You can create one or both of the following indices:

  • Approve. Provides a place for Inspire to store data automatically when a user approves or signs a component in the Components browser. Users can also manually add data to this index. Follow the steps in: Create an AI index from approvals.
  • Submit. Provides a place for Inspire to store data automatically when authors Submit and Save a component in the Oxygen editor. Users can also manually add data to this index. Follow the steps in: Create an AI index from submittals.

Currently, these are the only two types of user actions supported for creating an AI index.
