Enable creating an AI index for submittals

To use the optional feature that allows you to build an AI-powered search or for your own proprietary chatbot, an administrator must enable the types of AI indices that you want to use in Features management. Enabling the AiSubmit feature allows you to create a Submit index to build up the content that is updated and submitted to your Inspire instance. After you enable the feature, you can then create the actual index in AI configuration management.

To access this premium feature, you must purchase it separately. Please contact your Vasont customer representative.

Before you begin

  • Images are not supported in an AI index.

Tips and tricks

  • You do not have to enable this feature if you don't need to build up search content that can be available in a chat bot you provide to your customers.
  • If you want to create an Approve index to build up the content that can be available in a chat bot you provide to your customers, you must enable the AiApprove feature.

To enable creating an AI index for submittals:

  1. From the Administration menu, select Advanced Settings, and then Features management.
  2. On the Features Management tab:
    1. After AiSubmit, note that it is set to false by default.
    2. To change the AI feature setting, after AiSubmit, click Update.
  3. The feature is highlighted in blue. To enable the feature, delete the word false and type in true.

  4. Click Update.

    Results: All users must log out and back in before they see any of the AI menu options.

    Next, you must create the actual Submit index to begin storing data.
