If you have trouble accessing GlobalLink Vasont Inspire features, you might need to clear your browser cache.

With your browser open:
  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Del.
  2. From the Time range list, select All time, and then select all checkboxes.
  3. Close the browser.
  4. Try to access Inspire again.

Enhancements to content authoring

Manage permissions for options in Oxygen

When you open a component in the Oxygen editor, certain options in the toolbar are turned on or off by default and can be managed by the user. Now an administrator can configure Oxygen behavior for users and roles by applying properties for the Content Module on the Module Permissions tab. The new properties include force track changes on, disable the ability to turn off track changes, disable the ability to allow comments and changes to be accepted or rejected, enable ability to delete other user comments, and disable the ability to Edit XML Source. The settings for these properties do not apply when editing a component in a review.

Show or hide attribute IDs in Oxygen

In the Oxygen editor, if you do a lot of authoring in the Edit XML Source view, you can now hide attribute IDs to make authoring easier by showing more text and less code. In the Edit XML Source view, there is a new button to Hide IDs, which can be selected again to show the IDs. When attribute IDs are hidden, element tags and link references are still displayed.

Enhancements to component management

Change a component's type

You can now update the Inspire component type. Changing the Inspire component type does not modify the XML structure in any way. Instead, this change affects the DocType declaration which controls how the document is parsed. This may result in XML that does not parse. To help correct any issues, you can use the Document Transform feature to change the structure of the XML.

Select a new process type of RelinkToOriginal

You can go to the Changesets tab to see an ongoing record of all changes made to every component in your instance of Inspire. To find the changes you're looking for, you can filter the list to see a specific Process (changes based on Inspire actions). Now you can select a Process of RelinkToOriginal so you can filter search results where the Action = Update and Process = RelinkToOriginal.

See Where Used information without opening Component Details

If you want to see a list of all components that reference the selected component without opening the Details screen, you can do it from the Components browser in the new More Component Information panel. All you have to do is select the component in the Components browser and open the panel listed under the page controls. The details you see are the same as when you use the Options menu to select Details... and then select the Where used tab.

Set overdue global notification preferences

When you're working with a project or a review, and you create an assignment or task with a due date, you can get a notification when the due date is approaching and if it has passed and is late. If you want to configure overdue notification settings once and apply the settings to all project work and reviews, you can configure global overdue notification settings. The new global option is only available in the Projects notification settings. However, the global settings are also applied to Review notifications.

Change the component name and filename when using Add to Label

When saving a component as a branch, if you select Add to existing Label, the Label entry field is no longer available. Instead, you must select the Label of an existing branch. In this case, the components created with the Save As Branch option now automatically have the selected Label attached to the Name and File Name (before the GUID).

Enhancements to translation management

Send out a queued translation job to get a quote

If you are sending a translation job to GlobalLink Enterprise, you can get an estimate that is provided by a TransPerfect project manager in GlobalLink Enterprise regarding the cost of professional translation services. An administrator must configure a Translation Integration Method to allow the use of quotes. When you create a translation job, you must select a Translation Project that allows the quote feature to be used.

See updates when applying a Ditaval file

When publishing a map, on the Publish Component screen, you now see the Add DITAVal button listed after filter buttons. If you select a Ditaval file, you now see the name of the file listed under the filter buttons. You also can use the new Clear Ditaval button to remove all Ditaval files previously selected.
