Use advanced search to find workflow states

In the Workflows module, all project workflows created across every project in Inspire are listed on the Projects tab. To search for a workflow with a specific state of progress, you can use advanced search tools to create logic that asks a question about the data in your workflows.

Tips and tricks

To use advanced search to find Workflow States:

  1. From the top menu, click the Workflows module.
  2. On the Projects tab, select any filters you want to include:

    • Include Completed (assignments)
    • Include Cancelled (assignments)
  3. Click the advanced search icon .

    Results: The Search Workflows screen opens.

  4. In Field, select Workflow State.
  5. In Operator, select the option that describes the relationship Field has with Value:
    • = (equals)
    • <> (does not equal)
  6. In Value, select an option that relates to the Field you selected.
    You can also type in a word or user name.
    • Executing
    • Completed
    • Cancelled
  7. Optionally, to find more exact matches, you can search in multiple Fields.
    1. To include another line, use the Add button before a query statement.
    2. Select an option for Field, Operator, and Value.
    3. Optionally, to remove a line in your query, use the Remove button before a query statement.
  8. Click Search.

    Results:

    • The Search Workflows screen closes.
    • You see your results on the Projects tab.
