Use advanced search to find workflow dates

In the Workflows module, all project workflows created across every project in Inspire are listed on the Projects tab. To search for a workflow that was created, due, or completed by a specific date, you can use advanced search tools to create logic that asks a question about the data in your workflows.

Tips and tricks

To use advanced search to find workflows by date:

  1. From the top menu, click the Workflows module.
  2. On the Projects tab, select any filters you want to include:

    • Include Completed (assignments)
    • Include Cancelled (assignments)
  3. Click the advanced search icon .

    Results: The Search Workflows screen opens.

  4. In Field, select the date property you want to search in:
    • Completed Date (of the entire workflow)
    • Creation Date (of the entire workflow)
    • Due Date (of the entire workflow)
  5. In Operator, select the option that describes the relationship Field has with Value:
    • = Equals
    • <> Does not equal
    • > Greater than (For example, January 1, 2026 is greater than January 1, 2025.)
    • >= Greater than or equal to
    • < Lesser than (For example, January 1, 2025 is lesser than January 1, 2026.)
    • <= Lesser than or equal to
  6. In Value, to choose a date, select the calendar icon. As soon as you select one, the calendar screen closes.
    You can also:
    • Select a date and then edit the numbers in Value.
    • Type in a date that follows the format of a selected date. (For example, 12/15/2025)l

  7. Optionally, to find more exact matches, you can search in multiple Fields.
    1. To include another line, use the Add button before a query statement.
    2. Select an option for Field, Operator, and Value.
    3. Optionally, to remove a line in your query, use the Remove button before a query statement.
  8. Click Search.

    Results:

    • The Search Workflows screen closes.
    • You see your results on the Projects tab.
