In the Workflows module, all project workflows created across every project in Inspire are listed on the Projects tab. To search for a step in a workflow (Activity), you can use advanced search tools to create logic that asks a question about the data in your workflows.
Tips and tricks
- To perform
a basic search, follow the steps in: Find a workflow on the Projects tab.
- The advanced search option is not available on the Reviews tab.
- Activities are configured in workflow templates and executed as assignments in a project-specific workflow.
- For example, an Activity could be: Approve content, Edit content, Create review.
- Activities have the same properties as assignments, including State and Assigned User.

- You can search for the following Activity properties in Field:

- Activity Name. This is a property of a project assignment in a workflow. In the grid, these values are listed in the Activity column.
- Activity State. This is a property of a project assignment in a workflow. In the grid, these values are listed in the Assignment State column.
- Assigned User. This is a property of a project assignment in a workflow. In the grid, these values are listed in the Assigned To column.

To use advanced search to find activities:

From the top menu, click
the Workflows module.

On the Projects tab, select any filters you want to include:

- Include Completed (assignments)
- Include Cancelled (assignments)

Click the advanced search icon

Results: The Search Workflows screen opens.

In Field, select the Activity property you want to search in:
- Activity Name. In the grid, these values are listed in the Activity column. For example: Approve content, Edit content, Create review.
- Activity State. In the grid, these values are listed in the Assignment State column. For example: To Do, In Progress, Completed.
- Assigned User. In the grid, these values are listed in the Assigned To column. For example: Jane Doe, John Smith.

In Operator, select the option that describes the relationship Field has with Value:
- = (equals)
<> (does not equal)

In Value, select an option that relates to the Field you selected.

You can also type in a word or user name.
For example:
- If you selected Activity Name, possible values might include: Approve content, Edit content, Create review, etc.
- If you selected Activity State, possible values might include: To Do, In Progress, Completed, etc.
- If you selected Assigned User, possible values would include user names from your organization.

Optionally, to find more exact matches, you can search in multiple Fields.

To include another line, use
the Add button before a query statement.

Select an option for Field, Operator, and Value.

Optionally, to remove a line in your query, use
the Remove button before a query statement.

Click Search.
Results:
- The Search Workflows screen closes.
- You see your results on the Projects tab.
