Manage permissions
GL Vasont Inspire provides role-based permissions to access content and to perform actions on the content. A GL Vasont Inspire administrator manages permissions.
Consider the following guidelines to manage permissions for a component folder.
- You can add roles and set permissions for the new role for a specific folder.
- You can add users and set permissions for the new user for a specific folder.
- You can remove access for a role or user for a specific folder.
- You can change permissions granted to a role or user for a specific folder.
- Permissions can be inherited from a parent folder.
GL Vasont Inspire has predefined permissions. You cannot add or remove permissions. You can set the following permissions:
- Read
- Roles or users granted this permission can open components in the XML authoring tool in read-only mode. Users cannot make changes to the content.
- Create
- Roles or users granted this permission can create components.
- Update
- Roles or users granted this permission can open components in the XML authoring tool and make changes to the content.
- Delete
- Roles or users granted this permission can delete components from the system.
- Rename
- Roles or users granted this permission can change the component name.
- Set permissions
- Roles or users granted this permission can set permissions for components within the selected folder.
