Find assignments on the Projects tab

You can use the Workflows module to see all project assignments created in Inspire in one place. On the Projects tab you can see all project assignments that are not reviews listed on their own line and sorted by default according to the project's Created Date.

Tips and tricks

  • The Projects tab shows all assignments except reviews. If you want to see a workflow assignment that has an Activity of Review, follow the steps in Find assignments on the Reviews tab.
  • By default, only assignments for projects that haven't been cancelled or completed yet are shown. To display those project assignments, select the Include Completed and Include Cancelled options.
  • The Advanced Query Builder is not available when searching for an assignment in the Workflows module.
  • Columns you can search in:

    • Workflow Name
    • Project
    Columns you can't search in:
    • Due Date
    • Created Date
    • Activity
    • Components
    • Description

  5. In the Search text box, enter part of a Workflow Name or a Project's Name.
    Tips and tricks
    • Using parenthesis. Inspire recognizes a parenthesis character ( ) as something that indicates a grouping of search items. If you want to search for a text value that actually contains a parenthesis character ( ), you must tell Inspire to interpret it literally. To do that, use a slash \ before any parenthesis character ( ). For example, if you want to search for the following value: Chapter1_Intro(with_endnotes), in the Search for box you would enter Chapter1_Intro\(with_endnotes\).
  6. If you want to include assignments in your results from Projects that have any of the following States, select the corresponding checkbox:
    • Include Completed
    • Include Cancelled
  7. Click Search search_button.

Results: Your search results are shown in a list on the Projects pane.

To clear your search criteria and see the entire list, in the Search text box, click Clear.

  8. Optionally, to save the list of assignments that match the search as a CSV file, click Save as CSV ExportCSV.
