Add comments in the editor

When you're working with other users to develop content in the Oxygen-based editor, you can add comments to remind yourself of something that needs to be done, or use them to ask others a question.

After you insert a comment:

  • You can edit it, mark it as done, or remove it before publishing the content.
  • You can't edit or remove someone else's comment

To add a comment:

  1. In Inspire, go to Components.
  2. Navigate to the DITA topic where you want to insert a comment.
  3. Right-click the topic and select Edit ...
  4. Select the text where you want to insert a comment.
  5. On the toolbar, click Add Comment Oxygen_addComment.
    Note: You can also insert a comment using
    • The right-click action on the text and selecting Add comment...
    • The keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + M
  6. On the Add comment dialog, enter your text and then click OK.
  7. On the right side of the editor, to expand the Review pane, click the down arrow.
  8. In the Review pane you'll see all comments for this document.
  9. To save your changes, do one of the following:
    • To save your changes locally and keep working in the editor, click Save .
    • To save your changes to the Inspire database and close the editor, click Save and Submit .
