Edit content as XML in the editor

If you want to edit XML code inline with the content in your document, you can use an option to see and edit your content in this way.

1. In the editor, select the More... menu, and then select Edit as XML.
   Results:

   • The pane expands, and all side panels, toolbars, and the breadcrumb are hidden. Your screen looks similar to the following:

     

   • You can hover your cursor over any option in the toolbar to see a Tool Tip.

     

2. Make any changes to the XML code.
3. To return to the text-based editor, do one of the following:
   • in the toolbar click Switch to Author mode
   • Use the keyboard shortcut keys Alt+fn+F5
