Hide a publishing configuration

If you don't want a publish configuration to be available to the user when they're publishing components, you can clear the publishing configuration's Active setting. This is an alternative to deleting a configuration if you are only testing it or don't want to remove it permanently from Inspire. Only administrators will be able to see or update configurations that are not active.

Tips and tricks

To hide a publishing configuration:

  1. From the Administration_TopMenuOpt Administration menu, select Publish settings, and then select Publish Configuration Management.
  2. On the Publish Configuration Management tab, select the configuration's row, and then select Update.
  3. To hide this configuration from the user on the Publish Component screen in the Export Configuration (Publish) list, clear Active.
  4. Click Update.
    Results:
    • You can still see and manage the configuration on the Publish Configuration Management tab.
    • Users don't need to log out and back in to see that the configuration is no longer on the Publish Component screen.
