Delete a publishing configuration

If you don't want a publish configuration to be available to the user when they're publishing components, and you want to remove it from Inspire completely, you can delete it.

Tips and tricks

  • Use caution when deleting a publish configuration, as this action cannot be undone.
  • If you are only testing a configuration, or don't think you need to use it anymore, you can clear the Active option to hide it from users instead of deleting it.

To delete a publishing configuration:

  1. From the Administration_TopMenuOpt Administration menu, select Publish settings, and then select Publish configuration management.
  2. On the Publish Configuration Management tab, select the configuration's row, and then select Delete.
  3. On the confirmation screen, click Yes.
    Results:
    • You don't see the configuration on the Publish Configuration Management tab.
    • Users don't need to log out and back in to see that the configuration is no longer an option on the Publish Component screen.
