    Tips and tricks
    • Using parenthesis. Inspire recognizes a parenthesis character ( ) as something that indicates a grouping of search items. If you want to search for a text value that actually contains a parenthesis character ( ), you must tell Inspire to interpret it literally. To do that, use a slash \ before any parenthesis character ( ). For example, if you want to search for the following value: Chapter1_Intro(with_endnotes), in the Search for box you would enter Chapter1_Intro\(with_endnotes\).
The results are listed next to the magnifying glass in the Search for box.
  4. If you want to replace the found text, in the Replace with text box, enter replacement text and then do one of the following:
    • To replace the one highlighted occurrence, click Replace.
    • To replace all found occurrences, click Replace All.
  5. To search for text that matches the capitalization you use in the Search for text box, select Match case.
  6. To find only occurrences of the entire text string and omit results of partial matches, select Whole words.
  7. To go to the next found instance in the document, click the down arrow.
  8. To go to the previous found instance in the document, click the up arrow.
  9. To close the Find/Replace dialog, in the Title bar, click the x.
