Remove one comment

When you're working with other users to develop content in the Oxygen-based editor, you can't remove someone else's comment, but you can remove your own.

Tips and tricks:

  • Use caution when removing a comment. You won't be asked to confirm the removal and this action can't be undone.
  • There are no indicators that you've removed your comment, other than its no longer displayed.
  • These steps explain how to use comments in a component. You can also use comments in Reviews.
  • Deleted comments and replies are not included in review reports.

To remove your own comment:

  1. In Inspire, go to Components.
  2. Navigate to the DITA topic where you want to remove a comment.
  3. Right-click the topic and select Edit ...
  4. If not already open, click the right side panel control .
  5. To see the Review pane, click the review icon .
    In the Review pane you'll see all comments for this document.
  6. Click a comment you added and want to remove.
  7. In the comment's box, at the bottom, click Remove .
    You can also use the editor's toolbar at the top of the screen to click Remove comment .
  8. To save your changes, do one of the following:
    • To save your changes locally and keep working in the editor, click Save.
    • To save your changes to the Inspire database and close the editor, click Save and Submit .
