Create translation projects
You can manage the different types of processes you use to facilitate the translation of your content in a different language. For example, the majority of your clients may work in Project Director, but a few don't. You can create projects types for the clients who work in Project Director, and one for the clients who you need to contact directly.
FAQ's
- What happens if I don't select the Active checkbox?
- You can use the Active checkbox to identify a project type that you want translation coordinators to select.
If you don't mark a project type as Active, you won't be able to select it when sending content to translation. 
If you do select the Active checkbox, it appears on the Translate component dialog. - What is API Integration used for?
- You can identify if you need to work with an external application to translate your content. If Inspire communicates with an external application, you can include additional details with the translation job including a project code and attributes. You can associate only one integration per project type. For more details, read Manage Translation Integration.
- Why can't I enter a Project Code?
- This code lets you track content that's stored in an application that Inspire can communicate with, such as GlobalLink's Project Director. When translating your content, if you need to work with an application that Inspire can communicate with, you must first select the API integration checkbox and then you can enter a Project Code.
- What if the translator also works in Inspire?
- In this case, you don't need to select API integration. Clearing, or not selecting this option, identifies that a project type is for translator who works in Inspire when translating your content. Since there are so many ways to communicate inside of Inspire, project attributes aren't needed. If you don't select the API integration option, any project attributes you create aren't used when sending files.
- Do I have to create custom attributes when I create the translation project type?
- No, you can add custom attributes at any time. For more information, read Send additional project details using attributes.
