Delete an attribute

When you're working on a document in the Oxygen-based editor, you can remove extra information about an element in the Attributes pane. Deleting an attribute doesn't delete the element.

To delete an attribute:

  1. In the editor pane, put your cursor inside the element whose attribute you want to change.
  2. If the right side panel isn't open, click the show arrow.
  3. Select the Attributes option.
  4. In the Attributes pane, hover your cursor over the attribute you want to delete and click Delete .
If you don't see a Delete icon for an attribute:
    • This means that the attribute and value are required. Since you can't delete it, consider editing the attribute's value instead.
    • If you see an information icon, this means the attribute is currently set to it's default value. If you want to delete the attribute, set it to a non-default value first, and click Accept. Now when you hover over the attribute you will see the Delete option.
  5. To save the changes to your document, click Save and Submit.
