Add a PDF image to a map

When you're organizing topics into a map's hierarchy, you can add PDF files as images if necessary.

After you add a PDF to a map, you only see the first page of the PDF file.

To add a PDF image to a map:

  1. Click Components.
  2. In the Folders pane, navigate to the map that you want to update.
  3. On the Components pane, right-click the map component and then select Edit...
  4. In the editor, place your cursor where you want to insert a PDF image.
  5. Click Insert an image.
    You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+I.
  6. On the Select Component dialog, in Folders, navigate to the PDF image file you want to insert, select the file, and then click Select.
    Inspire automatically opens the last folder you used to insert a link or image.
  7. In the toolbar, do one of the following:
    • To save your changes locally and keep working, click Oxygen_save Save .
    • To save your changes to the database and close the map, click Save and Submit.
