View a markdown component without locking it

If you don't want to edit the content in a markdown component, you can just view it in Oxygen as Read-Only. This keeps the component unlocked for other users to work in. While you can't edit the content, you can use any of the Oxygen features for displaying content. If you want to make changes, you have options in the toolbar to save a copy for editing.

If you want to make changes, follow the steps in Edit a markdown component.

To view a markdown component without locking it:

1. Click Components.
2. To view a component and not make changes, right-click the component, and then select View...
   
3. Optionally, in the Oxygen editor, to save a copy for editing, in the toolbar, click Save as .
4. Optionally, to report a problem:
   
   1. In the toolbar, click the more menu and select Report problem.
      
   2. On the Report a problem screen, enter as much details as you can and then click Report a problem.
5. To close the component, in the tab at the top of the screen, click Close .
