Search for topics with labels

You create a label when you use one of the following Save options: Save as copy, Save as branch. You can use Advanced Search tools to find only the components that have a label.

Tips and tricks
  • Labels are created when you use specific Save options. For example, when you select a component and choose Save as copy:

You can see a component's label in the following places:

    • In the component's Name. The Label you enter is added to the end of the source component's name with an underscore separating them. For example, if you select the Camera_GetStarted topic and select Save as copy, you can enter a label of No_lens. The copy is named: Camera_GetStarted_No_lens.

Choose how to save a copy of a component

    • If the save option you select is Save as branch, then you can open the component Details screen and go to the Branches tab. The grid has a column called Label.

      Create a component branch

  • Topics can have multiple labels. In the Advanced Search panel, you can combine the Label criteria with another one to search for multiple labels. For example, you could search for Label="Your_value" AND Branch = IsBranch.
