Omit the timestamp from published file names

When a user sends a component to publishing, Inspire uses the default file name with the following format: Publish-{ComponentName}-YYYY-MM-DD-HHHHMM. As an administrator, if you don't want to append the timestamp (YYYY-MM-DD-HHHHMM), you can enable the optional setting called PublishOmitDeliverableTimestamping.

By default, this feature is not enabled.

  • When a component is published, Inspire uses the default format of: Publish-{ComponentName}-YYYY-MM-DD-HHHHMM.

Enabling this feature.

  • When a component is published, Inspire uses the default format of: Publish-{ComponentName}.

To omit the timestamp from published file names:

  1. From the Administration menu, select Advanced Settings, and then Features management.
  2. On the Features Management tab:
    1. After PublishOmitDeliverableTimestamping, note the state. If the feature says false, published files use the default format of: Publish-{ComponentName}-YYYY-MM-DD-HHHHMM. If the feature says true, published files use the format of: Publish-{ComponentName}.
    2. After PublishOmitDeliverableTimestamping, click Update.
  3. To change the state, enter one of the following values:

    • To omit the use of timestamps in published file names, enter true.
    • To include timestamps in published file names, enter false.
  4. Click Update.
